I haven’t used Grace’s Sitters before and would like to make a booking, what do I do?

What qualifications and checks do the Grace’s Sitter’s Team have?
All sitters hold a first aid qualification and a DBS check
Can I have the same sitter?
Yes, you can always request a certain sitter in the ‘Additional details’ section of the booking form, which Grace will look to accommodate as long as the sitter is available. Even if not requested, Grace understands that sitter continuity is always preferred so will send repeat sitters, again subject to sitter availability.
How far in advance can I make a booking?
There is no limit, you can book as early as you like, however sitters confirmed no earlier than 2 weeks before the date of the booking.
Can I make a last minute booking?
Grace generally needs 48 hours to arrange a booking, of course you are always welcome to make a booking less than 48 hours before you require a sitter but it can’t always be accommodated.
When will you confirm my booking?
You will receive email confirmation of your booking no earlier than 2 weeks before the date the booking is made for, this will include details of your sitter.
How do I pay?
Payment is taken after the sitting. Grace will contact you the day after the sitting to confirm the amount due and payment method. See fees page for hourly rates.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your booking, please email or text Grace. Cancellations made less than 18 hours before the start of the sitting will incur the following cancellation fees:
- Cancellations within 18 hours of the sitting will be subject to pay 1 hour of sitting
- Cancellations within 4 hours of the sitting will be subject to pay 2 hours of sitting
What areas do you cover?
The Grace’s Sitters Team are predominantly based in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire but some sitters can drive elsewhere. Please contact Grace if you have any queries about whether your location can be reached.
What amount of time can I book for?
Grace’s Sitters have a 2 hour minimum and charge in half hour increments. There is no maximum sitting length.
Do you provide regular sitting?
Yes, some sitters are available for regular sitting commitments, but we do not provide full time childcare options.
